VRAC
18 Lansdown Place, Lewes, BN7 2JT

I found out that a new tea shop had opened in Lewes which at the time was perfect has I was back visiting to get a dose of homely medicine. It had not long been opened, I think about a week and at the time I was super sickly and the weather couldn't make up its mind between blissful sun spells or down pours of hail stones. Open entering VRAC the seating seemed little to none with every seat occupied, it was good to see a start up business doing so well in to its first week of running. In a hiccup of time the place slowly emptied and mum and I had the place to ourselves, which was perfect, quite literally my cup of tea. The place was tranquil, heavenly, perhaps the most perfect tea escape I've ever had. I sipped my Vanilla Black and watched the world go by with the soundtrack of Red Hot Chilli Peppers behind my ears. The tea was so good I purchased a bag to take back to London with me and it has been my saviour ever since.

THE FAT PIG DELI
4, Romily Crescent, Cardiff, CF11 9NR

A little west of Cardiff’s city center is a dainty place called Pontcanna, here you will not find any retail run chains but a street full of independently run boutiques and cafes from those who have built up experience in the city but moved further afield dreaming of a slightly quieter life. The Fat Pig Deli is by no means any exception, the cups alone had us at hello and the staff stretched further than their smiles meaning the service was second to none. If your looking to escape the city and are in need of breaking away from the traditional cooked breakfast I suggest you take a trip here for it will not disappoint.

Tip - I would highly recommend the Spanish breakfast, Chorizo & Eggs on toast will forever and always go down a treat.
