Whilst getting fustrated at being so lost in the Medina, I came across the most beautiful blue door (those who know me will know my obsession and lust over a good door). Behind the blue door came a sense of calm and clarity, something of which the rest of the Medina certaintly did not offer. We were greeted by Abdel who offered us sanction on the upstairs roof terrace after a thorough nosey through the beautiful clothes on the boutique level. We sipped on Sprite and Mint Tea and soaked up the sun through the slips of cloud, enjoying the calm before the storm knowing we would shortly be headed back out in to the shrieks of the souks. If you are visiting Marrkech and need several seconds to yourself from the madness of the Medina, search for the big blue door, trust me you will not regret it.
